Annual Bay St. George Powwow

It’s time once again to celebrate together at the annual powwow! Featuring dancers, drummers, Elders offering teachings and more, this weekend-long event is a great opportunity to help celebrate Indigenous culture and traditions.

Hosted on the Flat Bay powwow grounds, there is ample space for camping, but parking can quickly fill up, so be sure to arrive early. Don’t forget to bring money to buy items from the vendors, including crafts, art, clothing and food.

And don’t forget the sunblock! It’s easy to lose track of time with the whirl of colours from the regalia and the beat of the drum. Stay safe, and enjoy!
